Conservation easements are established to ensure that lands are perpetually preserved in their predominantly natural, scenic, forested and open space condition to protect the natural resources and watershed values and to maintain and enhance biodiversity, retain quality habitat for native plants and animals and to maintain and enhance the natural features of the property. With these encumbrances, unique valuation issues must be addressed in a qualified appraisal.

Anthony M. Piazza is a qualified appraiser pursuant to the Internal Revenue Service regulations and has the experience, designations and education to perform such services. A conservation easement appraisal may be required for federal tax purposes with regard to charitable donations, to establish value for acquisition by state or local conservancies.
